Good time management is the secret behind top students. Learn how to make the most of every study hour with these practical strategies.

Top-scoring students are not necessarily the ones who study the most — they are the ones who study smartest.

1. Use the Pomodoro Technique Study for 25 minutes, take a 5-minute break. Repeat. This keeps your brain fresh and focused.

2. Prioritise by Importance Tackle your hardest or most important subject first when your mind is fresh.

3. Create a Weekly Plan Plan your week every Sunday. Allocate study time for each subject so nothing gets neglected.

4. Batch Similar Tasks Group similar tasks together. Do all reading first, then all practice problems. Switching tasks wastes mental energy.

5. Avoid Multitasking Studying with music or TV might feel productive, but it splits attention and reduces retention.

6. Set Specific Goals "Study Science" is vague. "Complete Chapter 3 notes and solve 10 practice problems" is specific and achievable.

7. Review Before Sleep Brief revision before sleeping helps memory consolidation — you remember more the next day.

Time is your most valuable resource. Use it intentionally.
